Kalakunj offers training in Bharatanatyam style to children and young adults from beginners to advanced level. Kalakunj follows ISTD syllabus Grades 1-6 .

 

Kalakunj is a Home Tutor for Centre for Advanced Training in Music and Dance (CAT), a part of the national initiative funded by the Department of Education, UK.

 

A dance session lasts for an hour.The lesson starts with routine warm up , followed by adavus (fundamentals)  & dance pieces. Towards the end the students revise the dance theory & mudras. Through out the lessons , students are reminded of the classical dance terminologies.
